WRITER | DIRECTOR


Ruhi Radke is a New York City based filmmaker and playwright with a film production degree from Emerson College. Her short Red Sari, had its world premiere on the opening night of the Mustard Seed Film Festival, 2018; and her second short Jane, premiered at the 7th annual Imagine This Women’s Film Festival in 2022 and is currently on the Retrospective of Jupiter platform. Radke is also a fall fund recipient (2019) for The Future of Film is Female grant for her narrative short: Brown Sugar (2022) which further explores beauty and cultural identities; the short had its world premiere at the Sidewalk Film Festival 23’ where it won the best family film award and was accepted into the 18th annual Tasveer Film Festival 23’ which is the only Oscar qualifying South Asian film festival in the world. Her next short, Squash- touches upon themes of female empowerment and is currently in its festival run. 

She has written and performed in her play Daffodils which had its world premiere at the New York Theatre Festival in 2022. Her next play, Three Doctors was workshopped at the Barrow Group first fridays in 2023. She is currently writing her next play, Cubicles.
